Temple Works in Leeds is being redeveloped as a major UK cultural venue. A huge Grade 1 listed Victorian flax mill with outstanding natural light, it contains what was once the biggest room in the world!

…

…

As part of Light Night Leeds 2009, and in collaboration with the Jam Jar Collective and Culture Vulture, Burning Studios has created an installation for the space. We composed the sonic content which accompanied Stuart Childs’, Dave Lynch & Scott Towler’s light, laser and projection extravaganza and was preformed twice a night from 9th til 16th October.

…

…

Thanks to Jim Moran for this awesome photo!

…

Using generative abstract synthesis and sampling, we made a 15min sound piece intended to shock and disturb the audience in this vast and eerie space.

…

…

Delivered via a custom spatial sound system, the preformances were so well received that extra shows had to be run to satisfy demand. Over 600 people have enjoyed the show – if you are one of them get in touch and tell us what you thought!
